Pink Floyd in de 80’s was een Pink Floyd waarin afscheid werd genomen van Roger Waters als bandlid, slechts twee studio-albums in een tijdspanne van 10 jaar en een periode die vooral in het teken stond van conflicten, rechtszaken en een als gevolg daarvan verder muzikaal verval van het ooit zo statige instituut Pink Floyd. Later bleek dat met The Division Bell, de opvolger van A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, het doek definitief viel voor één van de grootste en invloedrijkste bands uit de jaren 60 en 70. En achteraf gezien is het slechts gissen of Pink Floyd zonder al die akkefietjes en jarenlang gedoe tussen grondleggers Waters & Gilmour...
