De uit Richmond, Virginia afkomstige rapper Mckinley Dixon ziet muziek maken duidelijk als iets sociaals. Een medium om saamhorigheid en familie te laten zien en versterken. Vandaar ook dat hij zijn bevriende artiesten als Jaylin Brown, Teller Bank$, Alfred en Seline Haze steeds laat terugkomen in zijn nog jonge carrière. Nieuwe contacten komen vooral tot stand door wederzijdse bewondering. Dat hechtte hoor je ook terug in zijn teksten, vol van het leven- en de sociaalkritische mijmeringen binnen de Afrikaans-Amerikaanse gemeenschap.
