Ineens stonden ze daar op het Studio Brussel-zijpodium, op de tweedaagse editie van Rock Torhout/Rock Werchter. 1996, het jaar dat ook die twee heilige rockweiden de ruimte vonden voor house, techno, dance, triphop, de nieuwe stromingen en de nieuwe voor de toekomst belovende acts als Moby, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, The Prodigy, Moloko, Faithless. Ze etaleerden tijdens dat grijze weekend zonder groeipijnen voorgoed hun nieuw geluid. Pas tijdens een van die loco séances, foei, leerde schrijver dezes de pioniers van Underworld kennen en helemaal appreciëren. Op kostendrukkend bekertjesrapende wijze dan nog, van links naar rechts scharrelend en zo van de grote extase delend van het onophoudelijk in dichte drommen opverend dansgeweld....
