Mike Portnoy is terug bij Dream Theater. En, als je af mag gaan op Parasomnia, is dit zowel voor de band als voor Mike een soort thuiskomen. En, let wel, van de gelukkigere soort. Vooropgesteld, Mike Mangini, de man achter de kit tijdens de langjarige afwezigheid van Portnoy, onder meer te beluisteren op Dream Theater en The Astonishing, is een uitstekend drummer die juist ook zijn eigen invulling gaf aan het drumwerk bij de band. Geen geringe stap om het van een van ‘s werelds beste drummers over te nemen en dat met verve te doen. De afgelopen jaren had Mike alweer samen gespeeld met John Petrucci zowel op zijn soloalbum...
