Het 10-koppige gezelschap rondom Thomas Brenneck, die we ook al kennen van zijn samenwerkingen met andere Daptone-helden, zoals Sharon Jones en Charles Bradley en zelf naast The Budos Band ook nog actief ia in de Menahan Street Band. Een behoorlijk druk baasje dus. The Budos Band is alweer een kleine tien jaar actief en is inmiddels toe aan het vierde album, die voor de verandering eens een echte titel heeft meegekregen: Burnt Offering. Gestoken in een opvallende en niet al te vrolijke hoes is de titel ontleend aan een passage uit de Bijbel die handelt over het offeren van dieren.
