Volgens Miles Kane is Coup De Grace zijn belangrijkste werk tot dusver. Een tamelijk opvallende uitspraak voor iemand die dankzij zijn goed ontvangen solo- en Last Shadow Puppets-releases de afgelopen tien jaar al vaak op de grotere (festival)podia bivakkeerde. Totdat je leest dat Kane’s relatie vorig jaar stukliep en hij een – ahum - ‘Adele-fase’ betrad. Dan wordt een en ander al wat duidelijker. Miles Kane had dus iets te verwerken in de studio. Voorafgaand aan deze release was hij overigens al actief op de Engelse podia dus hij is duidelijk klaar voor een ‘wederopstanding’.
