Zo hard overdonderen als op de eerste albums lukt Blood Red Shoes al een hele tijd niet meer. Gelukkig concluderen ze ondertussen zelf om dan het geluid drastisch te veranderen. De lange bijna vijf jarige pauze is blijkbaar voldoende om tot bezinning te komen. Het noisy indieduo uit Brighton heeft wat goed te maken, en mijn verwachtingen zijn dan ook belachelijk hoog. Reikhalzend wordt er naar deze release uitgekeken. Laura-Mary Carter mag het meest sensuele wat ze in haar heeft in het geloofwaardige Eye to Eye naar buiten brengen. Wat zal Garbage vamp Shirley Manson haar vlijmscherpe zwart gelakte nagels pijnlijk kapot bijten en haar gestylde haren uit haar hoofd...
