Een aantal jaar geleden vertelde een goede vriendin mij vol enthousiasme over het waanzinnige concert wat ze gezien had van de nieuwste grote belofte uit Groot Brittannië. Zelf ben ik wat huiverig als artiesten zo gehypet en de hemel ingeschreven worden. De intensiteit van deze veelvoudige instrumentalist Jack Garratt moet op het podium al veel heftiger zijn dan op zijn hoog gewaardeerde debuut Phase. Als hij direct in 2016 de Brit Award voor nieuw talent binnenhaalt wordt de druk op de artiest erg hoog. Gigantisch hoog zelfs. De veerkracht van die lat staat op het punt om te knakken, en schijnbaar gebeurt dat daadwerkelijk bij deze ongekende veelzijdige muzikant. Het...
