Het is 2007 als Maserati met hun tweede album Inventions for the New Season opeens door een groter publiek wordt opgepakt. Vanuit het muzikale hart van Georgië, en thuisbasis van The B-52’s en REM in Athens bouwt de band aan hun dromerige psychedelische rocksound. De waardering van collega’s uit het werkgebied is enorm, het is dan ook veelzeggend dat Bill Berry de voormalige REM drummer, zijn medewerking aan de zevende studioplaat Enter the Mirror verleent. Een vrijwel instrumentaal hoogtepunt, als je de voorgeprogrammeerde computerstemmen tenminste uitsluit. De stilte van vijf jaar heeft de band goed gedaan.
