Thao & The Get Down Stay Down is de naam van het gezelschap waarmee folkzangeres Thao Nguyen vanaf 2003 samenwerkt. Solo heeft deze dame al met Like the Linen indruk gemaakt, waardoor ze door Laura Veirs uitgenodigd wordt om het publiek alvast warm te maken, voordat die als hoofdact het podium betreedt. Ook is ze in 2009 met Mirah Zeitlyn actief, wat een spannende indie popplaat oplevert.
