Met het vorig jaar verschenen Silver Tongue maakt Mackenzie Ruth Scott de beslissing om het opnameproces in eigen handen te nemen. Een gedurfde keuze waarmee ze van een groot stukje zekerheid afscheid neemt. Het levert de op universitair niveau Engelse literatuur afgestudeerde singer-songwriter een prima soloplaat op, maar nu de angel vakkundig verwijdert is wil het niet meer bijten en steken. TORRES, want daar hebben we het hier over, klopt een jaar later weer braaf bij oudgediende Rob Ellis aan. Deze producer bewijst zich in het verleden al ruimschoots als rechterhand van PJ Harvey, waarmee hij als mede bandlid al in Automatic Dlamini samenwerkt en waar ook John Parish deel...
