Het heeft wel iets, dat cheerleader imago. Aan de ene kant heel preuts en onderdanig, maar ook verleidelijk en oppermachtig. Bedoeld om American football spelers op te hitsen en met een hoog amusementswaarde het publiek te vermaken. Het zijn de veelgevraagde aantrekkelijke meisjes die tijdens het eindejaarsbal met de meest gespierde jongens rondlopen. Vaak zijn dit toch ook wel de typetjes die vervolgens alweer snel vergeten worden, terwijl de nerds wel carrière maken. Pom Pom Squad is een naam die je eenvoudig aan zo’n atletische dansgroep koppelt die met mierzoete Prodent glimlach op het veld manoeuvreert.
