De kracht van een goede televisieserie zit hem meestal in het totaalpakket. Een belangrijk onderdeel daarvan is het openingsthema, veelal bepalende voor de opbouwende afleveringen. Het coole Woke Up This Morning leent zich perfect voor de duistere misdaadfamilie The Sopranos. Alleen hebben de Alabama 3 leden geen Italiaans-Amerikaanse gangsterachtergrond, maar zijn ze uit een muzikaal hart van Groot Brittannië, het Londense Brixton district afkomstig. Helemaal schoon van criminele activiteiten is het gezelschap niet. Nick Reynolds is namelijk de zoon van Bruce Reynolds, het brein achter de Great Train Robbery.
