Het gaat goed met de Australische garage-/punkrockers van Amyl and the Sniffers. Zo stonden ze op nummer 1 in de Australische hitlijsten met hun vinyl verkoop voor het debuutalbum in 2019 en wonnen in hetzelfde jaar een ARIA-Award (lees: Australian Recording Industry Association) voor Beste Rockalbum. Maken zangeres Amyl Taylor en haar band dan bijzondere muziek? Nee, eigenlijk niet. Recht-toe-recht-aan garage punk. Maar is het goed? Jaaaaaaaaaaa, dat wel! In vergelijking met het debuutalbum laat Comfort Me niet opeens een radicaal ander geluid horen, gelukkig maar.
