We worden op 10 november door Beach House al op het eerste viertal albumtracks (Chapter 1 / Pink Funeral) getrakteerd welke uiteindelijk in Once Twice Melody resulteren. Het ei is gelegd, maar voordat dit uitgebroed wordt doopt Beach House deze eerst nog in een breed vullend kleurenpallet onder. Melancholische avondetappesongs die glinsterend in het waterrijke betoverende Baltimore havengebied weerkaatsen. De skyline van het aan de Chesapeake Bay liggende Inner Harbor is een kleurrijke blokkendoos, die een overweldigende aantrekkingskracht uitoefent. Nu het reizen vrijwel onmogelijk is halen Victoria Legrand en Alex Scally van Beach House de inspiratie noodgedwongen dichter bij huis.
