Red Hot Chili Peppers heeft net zijn twaalfde uit. Voor velen een bijzonder album om naar uit te kijken. Vooral, geen enkele twijfel, vanaf de eerste zwevende noten, vanaf die infectueuze groove van Black Summer zal het enthousiasme onverwoestbaar overspringen en zullen geesten weer vertoeven, bedwelmd en ontroerd, in sferen van de Peppers' hoogdagen. Van, zeg dus maar, de tijden van die andere ook echt goeie dubbelaar Stadium Arcadium of bij die nog andere schijven ervóór. Inderdaad, die vertrouwde afgekloven cleane Pepper-sound, die pure zang van Anthony Kiedis, die melodieuze muzieklijnen van John Frusciante, dat is er allemaal weer als vanouds.
