De songs van Patty Griffin vonden gretig aftrek bij illustere vrouwelijke collega’s, daarnaast leverde de Texaanse de afgelopen tussen haar bedrijvigheid bij Band Of Joy van Robert Plant, met wie ze enkele jaren samen leefde, sinds haar debuut   Living With Ghosts regelmatig  verfijnd solowerk. Vaak met sobere, semi-akoestische muzikale omkadering en in samenwerking met producer Craig Ross. Dat  resulteerde in meesterlijke werkstukken zoals American Kid, een ode aan haar vader die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Europa aan het front streed. Het recentste, titelloze muzikale wapenfeit stamt uit 2019 en kwam in Patty’s huiskamer in  Austin tot stand en werd evenals de voorganger Servant Of Love in eigen beheer uitgebracht....
