Er is een hoop gebeurd bij Manchester trio GoGo Penguin de afgelopen jaren. Eerst bereikten ze met hun gelijknamige vijfde album de grootst mogelijke hoogten in hun sound. Het bleek hun beste album tot dan toe. Maar de tour die erop volgde kreeg door de Covid-pandemie een geweldige knauw en kort daarop verliet Rob Turner, drummer van het eerste uur, ook nog eens de band. Daar kwam ook nog eens bitter familiedrama bij bassist Nick Blacka bij. Gelukkig kwam daar de helpende hand van de gelauwerde drummer Jon Scott die zich bij Blacka en pianist Chris Illingworth aansloot en de late periode van de pandemie werd het plezier in muziek...
