Dat Vlaanderen bizar goede muzikanten voorbrengt mag al decennia duidelijk zijn, en zeker in de jazz. Er zijn teveel opvallende toetsenmannen om op te noemen maar Bram De Looze en Alex Koo behoren tot een gilde jonge muzikanten van de buitencategorie. Op het uitermate opwindende Etudes for Piano vinden we Koo volledig solo achter de vleugel. Het heeft vooral met muzikale opvatting te maken die zowel De Looze als Koo zo bijzonder maken. Immer kiezend voor avontuur en uitdaging, zowel voor zichzelf als voor het publiek, stijgen ze steeds verder en hard door. Daarbij wordt ook niet gekeken of het nu naar klassiek neigt of naar jazz of wat iemand...
