Het voelt in 2004 al niet goed meer. Grandaddy continueert het succes met het op The Beatles en The Alan Parsons Project leunende gepolijste Sumday en daarna is het voor Jason Lytle wel klaar. Beter zal het nooit worden en het wat afgeraffelde Just Like the Fambly Cat voelt dan ook als een verplichte vingeroefening aan. De band heeft dan al besloten dat er geen vervolg komt en dat ieder zijn eigen weg gaat. Jason Lytle brengt een tweetal volwaardige soloplaten uit en trouwt met zijn jeugdvriendin. Dat huwelijk houdt niet lang stand. Vijf jaar later schrijft hij het verdriet van zich af, duikt met zijn voormalige collega’s de studio...
