Er zijn tegenwoordig waarschijnlijk maar weinig bands die zo stijlvast en trefzeker klinken als het uit Austin, Texas afkomstige A Giant Dog.  Neem een flinke dosis punk, garage rock, wat filmische ‘western’ invloeden en rond het af met een grootse dosis glamrock. De krachtig theatrale stem van Sabrina Ellis doet de rest. Echter is het niet enkel pret wat de klok slaat, een sociaalkritische inslag heeft altijd al in hun DNA gezeten. Toch voelt Bite behoorlijk anders. De vertrouwde opnamestudio van de thuisstad wordt verruild voor een trip naar Algers, Frankrijk en daarnaast is het ook nog eens een conceptalbum geworden.
