Hoe krijgt darkwave koningin Chelsea Wolfe het toch klaar om zich van de middenmoot van de hedendaagse singer-songwriters te onderscheiden. Is het de triphop duisternis waarmee we de vorige eeuw afsluiten, de schoonheid van afstotende beats, zuigende elektronica en doorrookte mistvlagen. Is het de gedeelde industrial noise pijn, welke uiteindelijk een exorcistische zalvende werking heeft. Is het de postpunk verbittering, bikkelharde gothicmetal romantiek, de zwarte pandemiedagen in geïsoleerde afgesloten ruimtes.
