Met Entity komt het Britse Neil Cowley Trio na zeven jaar stilte terug aan het jazzfront. Een herboren trio waarbij verrassend genoeg producer Ethan Johns achter de knoppen zit en de majestueuze sound van weleer flink wat extra diepte heeft gekregen. Binnen het Britse jazzlandschap is pianist Neil Cowley altijd een buitenbeentje geweest. Het is zo’n muzikant die met zijn markante aanslag altijd nieuwe muzikale wegen wil bewandelen en dan weer in de jazz dan weer in de pop dan weer in de electronic, samenwerkingen met Maribu Sound en Rival Consoles, opduikt. Een constante was tot 2017 zijn fabuleuze Neil Cowley Trio met contrabassist Rex Horan en drummer Evan  Jenkins...
