Het Britse punkduo Lambrini Girls gooit er meteen bij de start al een giftige dosis energie tegenaan. Onderwijl  worden pratend, rappend en schreeuwend de lyrics over ons als luisteraar uitgestort. Of eigenlijk: de hele wereld mag het weten! Zelf noemen ze riot grrrl band Bikini Kill als grootste invloed. Die zelfbewust nijdige, feministische inslag valt zeker niet te ontkennen. Muzikaal kun je daar zonder aarzelen ook nog de onbezonnen gekte van Australiërs Amyl and the Sniffers aan toevoegen. Maar er zijn toch zoveel van dit soort bandjes momenteel? Ja, de vraag is dan ook of de act genoeg doet om de platgetreden paden te vermijden? Debuutalbum Who Let the Dogs...
