Everything Is Recorded is een terugkerend muziekproject rond producer en XL-labelbaas Richard Russell. Op het derde album heeft hij zich, net als voorheen, omringd met een groot aantal artiesten, waaronder Sampha, Bill Callahan, Noah Cyrus, Maddy Prior, Alabaster Deplume, Jah Wobble, Kamasi Washington, Jack Peňate, Roses Gabor en Clari Freeman-Taylor. Temporary werd opgenomen in Russels vertrouwde thuisbasis, zijn eigen Copper House studio in West-Londen, al waren er ook sessies op andere locaties, in Engeland en de VS. Richard Russell laat op deze nieuwe plaat een ander geluid horen, eigenlijk herprogrammeert hij zijn muzikale DNA. Meer dan ooit draait het nu om melodie. Het ritme staat minder centraal.
