Verfijning, beleving, verstilling, toongezet in kleine liedjes die elk heel veel te bieden hebben in hun eigen microkosmos. Het is steeds oneindig genieten als er een nieuwe I Am Oak uitkomt. Dat is met Time Drifts, het op 4 april 2025 verschijnende album van de band rondom Thijs Kuijken niet anders. De pandemie bracht voor Thijs in creatieve zin stilstand en pas geleidelijk hervond hij het plezier in het schrijven en spelen van muziek. Het is sowieso al prettig dat dat gebeurde: we moeten terug naar 2019 voor dus inmiddels het voorlaatste album, Osmosis. Het opnieuw oppakken van de draad deed Thijs beseffen hoezeer hij liedjes schreef vanuit een beschouwend perspectief,...
