The Horrors zijn door de jaren heen niet gemakkelijk vast te pinnen geweest. Het bandgeluid liet door de jaren heen invloeden uit gothic, dark/synth wave, shoegaze en indie horen, om tussen 2017 en 2021 zelfs te verschuiven naar industrial. Die laatste trend was wellicht even wennen maar The Horrors konden over het algemeen nog steeds rekenen op goede recensies. The Horrors bleef een band om in de gaten te  blijven houden; een band met een eigen koers; een band die niet te lang op gebaande paden bleef hangen. Op dit zesde album neemt de groep weer wat afstand van het industriële geluid, al steekt dat soms nog wel de kop...
