Natuurlijk kon een vervolg op de wondermooie eersteling Arctic Riff, een samenwerking tussen tenorsaxofonist Joe Lovano en het Marcin Wasilewski Trio niet uitblijven. Daar was het een veel te bijzondere plaat voor. Na vijf jaar verschijnt er nu een vervolg met Homage. Waar bij Arctic Riff pianist Wasilewski, bassist  Slawomir Kurkiewicz en drummer Michal Miskiewicz al een dag in de studio aanwezig waren en al nieuwe stukken hadden voorbereid terwijl Lovano door vertragingen pas een dag later in de studio aankwam, hadden ze deze keer maar weinig tijd om met elkaar te schrijven. Voor Homage schreef Lovano vrijwel alle stukken en (albumopener Love in the Garden is van de hand...
