Pulp kwam na de laatste plaat uit 2001, We Love Life, nog tweemaal bij elkaar voor optredens, in 2011 en 2022. De tweede reünie bracht een heerlijke show in Amsterdam, waarmee de band zich overtuigend in alle kleurrijke glorie presenteerde. Een nieuw album was toen nog niet in beeld. Eind 2024 kwam echter het nieuws dat Pulp bij Rough Trade had getekend. Na het succesalbum Different Class uit 1995 en het memorabele optreden op Glastonbury in datzelfde jaar leek Pulp in de latere jaren negentig langzaam af te drijven uit het epicentrum van de Britpop en Cool Brittania. Iets waar Jarvis Cocker overigens niet rouwig om was, aangezien de frisheid...
